Present

Time slows down and sometimes we feel stuck like we're in quicksand. It’s a feeling where you aren't yourself lost in the whirlwinds of everything around you. It puts a pause on everything you're trying to accomplish. Where you end up in a state of paralysis, frozen in fear. It’s not a good feeling by any means and it can put you in a bind where you hit a wall creatively.

At times we need a break. A well-needed one, with family, friends, or that significant other. It doesn't mean you aren't moving forward in what you're trying to accomplish. It just means we need to take a step back when necessary. It ensures that we clear our minds and give ourselves a laser focus that crystallizes our vision. As well as helping to put goals into perspective and seeing what truly matters in the present moment.

Taking that break made me realize, that I want this even more than I believed before. It took me searching within myself the last couple of months to realize that we stand in our own way most times. You have to truly look in the mirror and ask if this is what you want? Is this what you want your legacy to be?

Seeing my little ones display the imagination they have and how far it stretches amazes me. From their perspective, anything's possible and seeing it transpire daily helped me realize that more is to be done. The impact we all make must be greater than what you envision. In these moments we must aspire to break beyond the constraints of what we believe hinders progress.

I wrote all of this to express that a much-needed time away from what we are in the process of achieving can lead to even greater success. Staying motivated even when life is stagnant will give you perspective. In all endeavors, you pursue you will realize that the wall that stands in your way is a door waiting to be opened through perseverance.

Continue to walk the purpose you have chosen to take part in and give maximum effort in every opportunity presented before you that's taken. It will lead you to the inevitable paradise that awaits at the end of the road.
